Normal myocardial perfusion values on high-resolution pixel-wise perfusion maps

چکیده
Background The feasibility and pre-clinical validation of pixel-wise quantification of myocardial perfusion on standard and high-resolution first-pass perfusion CMR images has been recently described. However, the diagnostic criteria for the detection of CAD have not yet been defined and normal values in healthy subject are unknown. Aim of this study was to define normal reference values of stress and rest myocardial perfusion on highresolution pixel-wise perfusion maps.

A quantitative pixel-wise measurement of myocardial blood flow by contrast-enhanced first-pass CMR perfusion imaging: microsphere validation in dogs and feasibility study in humans.
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate fully quantitative myocardial blood flow (MBF) at a pixel level based on contrast-enhanced first-pass cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging in dogs and in patients. BACKGROUND Microspheres can quantify MBF in subgram regions of interest, but CMR perfusion imaging may be able to quantify MBF and differentiate blood flow at a much higher resol...
متن کاملFully automated pixel-wise myocardial blood flow quantification with first-pass perfusion CMR
Methods Rest and adenosine stress perfusion imaging was performed on 17 normal volunteers. A saturation recovery SSFP dual-sequence technique was used to acquire three myocardial slices and an arterial input function (AIF) image series. A proton-density weighted image was acquired at the beginning of each series. Fully quantitative perfusion pixel maps were generated by an automated processing ...

Methods 27 subjects (17 male; age 62 ± 11 years) with coronary artery disease as defined by quantitative coronary angiography were included in this study. Greater than 70% luminal coronary stenosis of the major epicardial coronaries was present in 2/3 of the subjects. Perfusion imaging was performed using a saturation recovery steadystate free precession dual-sequence method at 1.5 T during Reg...
متن کاملCorrecting T2* effects in the myocardial perfusion arterial input function avoids overestimation of myocardial blood flow
Background Quantitative myocardial perfusion imaging requires correct measurement of arterial Gd concentration as the input function (AIF). An underestimation of AIF Gd concentration will lead to overestimation of myocardial blood flow (MBF). One source of this underestimation is the T2* effect due to high Gd concentration in the AIF measurement. Despite the short echo time (0.65 ms) used in th...
متن کاملMyocardial perfusion SPECT: Perfusion quantification
Different software tools for quantification of myocardial perfusion SPECT (MPS) studies are routinely used. Several perfusion parameters can be computed automatically. Interpretation of the MPS should start with visual inspection of the rotating planar images, visual analysis of reconstructed SPECT slices and then quantitative analysis to confirm the visual impression. Quantification should be...
